Pen Y Pigyn back into Corwen via the Dagger Trail

A great walk up through the ancient oak woodland of Pen Y Pigyn. The walk takes you to the viewing point where you get to look down on Corwen and the Dee Valley. This walk gives truly fantastic views. The monument at the top of Pen Y Pigyn by the viewing point was built to celebrate the marriage of Edward the seventh. From the viewing point a short walk further up takes you to Corwen reservoir which feeds the Corwen Electricity hydro scheme. Normally the reservoir is out of bounds to the public but for the walking festival we are allowed access to it. This walk is one of the jewels in the crown of Corwen with this gem of a walk available literally two minutes from the Town Centre and is a walk most Towns would love to have on their doorstep. Suitable for most people and we have had three year olds and 80 year olds complete it with us at the festival.
