Liberty Hall by Night

Walk 14

  • Saturday leaving at 8.00 pm
  • Distance 10 km
  • Height gained 200 metres of ascent

Liberty Hall is in itself one of our most popular walks at the festival and is in itself a stunning walk at any time of the year. However foir this walk we plan to ascend to this former shooting lodge in the dark so you will need to bring a torch with you. We will start this walk with a bus journey to take the participants high up into Cynwyd Forest so we will complete most of the uphill sections of this walk by bus. On leaving the bus there will be a walk up to the open access land where you will continue onto the plateau on the moor where you will find the ruin of this former shooting lodge. From here we will descend to Pen Y Pigyn where we will take in the view of Corwen by night. From here we will walk back through Pen Y Pigyn into Corwen for a well earned brink in one of the local pubs (sorry you have to buy your own drinks).

Night time adds a new dimension to any walk and on a clear night the night sky will be amazing. If you have never walked in the dark book onto this walk for a memorable experience in the magical and amazing countryside that towers over our little town
